The Highlands
|
The Highlands is the newest neighborhoods in Pacific Palisades. It began as a series of tract homes, built in the hills above Sunset. It is also one of the areas in Pacific Palisades with many condominiums and townhomes. In the 1990's, large single family residences were built, and there are many gated streets, which is attractive for families and celebrities. Some of the larger homes are affiliated with the exclusive Summit Club, where there is access to a swimming pool, tennis courts, gym, and conference rooms. The Summit Club also offers camps and classes for the local children. The Highlands borders Topanga and is approximately ten minutes away from the center of Pacific Palisades. The Highlands almost feels like its own community. The Highlands offers restaurants, shops and multiple hiking trails. Condos start in the mid-$500,000, and single family residences start just over $1,000,000. Homes are mainly in the Marquez Elementary district.
