Alphabet Streets
One of the more popular areas in Pacific Palisades is known as the Alphabet Streets. The streets are named beginning with A, B, C, D, etc. - therefore the name "Alphabet Streets". It is a residential area that starts mostly flat and then runs up into the foothills.

Historically, the area was originally known as North Village where in the early 1920’s, tents would be seen as early housing. It was originally designed to be for the parishioners of the Methodist Church, the streets named after Bishops, and subdivided with small lots to form a close community. Although many of the original homes have been replaced with much larger ones, the community feeling remains.
One of the main attractions is its proximity to the Village, with its shops and restaurants. Each Sunday, there is a terrific Farmers Market, where people may find fresh and organic produce, flowers, can adopt a pet, or just have fun bumping into friends. Another plus is that the area is blocks away from preschools and elementary schools, so walking, riding scooters and bikes is a great way to get around.
Popular with young families, there are "starter" homes at just below $1,000,000, for a 2 bedroom, 1 bath bungalow. There are also several large new construction homes as well, in the $3.0 million range.
